Senpai Talent Accelerator Program
The senpai talent acceleration is a program created to accelerate the learning, development, and work readiness of creative technology talents in the tech ecosystem in Africa. We are seeking to attract both new and experienced talents who desire to accelerate their learning and development by working on real projects with a team of like-minds over a period of 6 months.
At the end of the program, we would invite the finalist to join our Senpai Talent Program where they would continue to work with the brand and our partner organizations on cool and exciting projects that make a difference in the world.
Talents
For this program we have tracks for five kinds of talents
Product Designers
A product designer specializes in designing beautiful and usable user interfaces for digital products. They are involved basically in the design, design prototype, and testing of the products before it reaches the final consumer.
UX Developers/Front-end Developers
A UX Developer is a developer that understands the fundaments of design and how that affects coding. The role would focus on frontend technologies but a UX developer should also have knowledge of how to consume and design API, Data structures and Algorithms
Backend Developer/Cloud Engineers
A Backend Developer knows how to build manage and scale backend services uses languages like node.js Golang or python. The world is moving to the cloud so its equally important for backend Developers to have an upstanding of how to build and host their code on cloud platforms.
Project/Product Managers
A project manager understands the business, Design, and Development sides an application development process and makes sure all parties are aligned and on schedule on the project. A project manager also makes sure the product being built is the right product and encourages an atmosphere of innovation and agile development
Mobile Developers
A mobile developer specializes in bringing pixel-perfect mobile applications to life using native languages like Swift for IOS and Java/Kotlin for Android. Hybrid languages like flutter are also encourage for rapid development for both platforms.
What we are looking for
We are looking for people who have a burning passion to learn new things and are self-motivated, you don’t have to have any experience in the track you are applying for but some experience is preferred as most of the learning would be done on the job. If you feel like you can handle the challenge of tackling real-world problems while learning new skills, then we encourage you to apply.
